Lexicographical and phraseological addenda to the existing Crimean Karaim dictionaries

Abstract
This article focuses on presenting lexicographical and phraseological addenda to two well-known Crimean Karaim dictionaries by examining the Book of Numbers from a printed Crimean Karaim Bible translation published in Eupatoria in 1841. The presentation of these lexical items and expressions highlights the importance of exploring newly available transcriptions to uncover previously unlisted dictionary entries, thereby enriching the documentation of the extinct Crimean Karaim language.

Murat Işık is a PhD candidate in the department of Altaic Studies at the University of Szeged (Hungary). He studied Turkish Language and Literature at the Anadolu University in Eskişehir (Turkey) and holds a M.A. degree. His main research interests lie in Karaim language and he has published a number of works in this field. He teaches Turkish language, Karaim language, as well as the Turkic runiform text-reading.
